2023 Week XV: "Easter"

 Hello Internet,

Happy Easter, if you celebrate.  I am not a religious person.  I am married to a Christian woman, and my children are about as Christian as a seven-year-old and a nine-year-old can be, in that they have communicated to me their existing belief in God but have a lot of questions about God.  Meanwhile, I am a nontheist, and that is mostly ancillary to today's post.

Now that the kids are getting older, we decided to make Rice Crispy treats with them using a few cups of off-brand Fruity Pebbles to add color, and we dyed eggs for later consumption.  They have stickers on them.  I will work on that later.  Next year, the kids can help us hide eggs for Kangaroo.

I am having trouble writing.  It is the spring Camp NaNoWriMo session, and I have told myself to put 25,000 words in.  The last few weeks, I have pulled about 5,000 to 9,000 words a day.  As a result, I have been taking Saturdays off, but I am having trouble finding the energy to keep going.  I am also drinking soda again, so...there's that, I guess.

I am 328 words in today.  I will not reach 5,000, let alone 9,000, but I will try and get my necessary 800 to stay on track.  We'll see.  For now, I just keep keyboarding, and hopefully the words will find me.
