NaNoWriMo 2022/Announcement

Hello Internet,

Next week marks the beginning of November, which for me marks the beginning of NaNoWriMo.  For those of you who do not know: NaNoWriMo stands for “National Novel Writer’s Month.”  Each year, over the month of November, hundreds of thousands of people (or perhaps millions; I don’t keep track of the details) attempt to write a novel of at least 50k words.  Normally, I use this time to try and focus my efforts onto one single story which I have been neglecting or which I want to finish.  This year, I have my private NaNoWriMo group picking a story for me to write.

What this means for the blog is that I will not be working or updating any other stories or projects during that time.  I will still try to get a weekly Sunday update, but it will be regarding my efforts at meeting my 50k mark.  Everything else can wait until December. 

Last year, I focused on word count and got just over 140k.  This year, I want to earn my pantser award and do a project that I had no plan for, hence asking my writing group to produce an idea for me.
