2023 Week XXXIII.

 Hello Internet,

Sometimes, it is easy to feel overwhelmed.  I know I often do.  Sometimes, it can be difficult to communicate it.  Sometimes, people misinterpret your anxiety for something else.  Something worse.  For me, honesty is the best policy.  We're all just trying to do our best in a world that doesn't really care about us, which is the very reason why we have to take care to care for each other.

New teacher orientation was hard this week, and every day was harder.  My attention drifted faster and faster, but I am at the weekend now, and today is Monkey's birthday.  Next Saturday will be Kangaroo's birthday, and we've got family coming.  I am anxious, and I am tired, but I wrote today for the first time in a week, so that feels good.

Counting blessings isn't always about ignoring pain.  Sometimes, people use toxic positivity to ignore hurt, but not this time.  I am trying to be grateful where I can.  Sometimes, I need to.
