NaNoWriMo 2022/Week I

 Hello Internet,

This week has not been as kind to me as I was hoping.  This year, I'm doing a pantser run, so I had no plans or outlines ready, which is unusual for me.  Furthermore, I did not get my subject until the night before, and what I was given was very broad.  I've cobbled something together that did not really start taking shape until around Thursday night, and even then I've basically been writing four separate stories, none of which have a theme or goal in mind.

Furthermore, Monkey and I were in the hospital until Thursday as a result of treatment.  She is fine, but in that time I had to drive around and pick up Kangaroo each morning and Squirrel after school each afternoon.  This, combined with caring for Kangaroo and Monkey, ate up a lot of my time.  Tuesday night DnD was a respite I needed but also slowed production.

Lastly, Kangaroo has RSV, the respitory virus that is going around.  By all accounts, he is going to be fine and seems to be recovering already, but he has not only gotten the entire family sick, but he requires more care than usual while he recovers, which eats into writing time.

The weekend has been kind, and I am almost caught up.  So far, I have made it a point to update every day, which is important, even if I am falling behind.
